About this piece
A bright yellow canary, hand-painted, that adds colour to a windowsill or shelf. The yellow is cheerful without being loud, and the neat shape sits comfortably beside books, plants or other small ornaments.
It makes a good gift for a bird lover, a gardener or a friend who needs some brightness in a room. It is also a pleasant spring gift. Keep it out of long periods of strong direct sun, which can fade painted colours over time. It is a hand-carved decorative item, not a toy. It looks good beside green plants on a windowsill, and it pairs well with the Hand-Painted Hoopoe for a small collection of colourful birds.
