Small animals, carved by hand
Jodie's Wood Studio started on Etsy with a simple idea: small wooden animals with real character, made to sit on a desk, a bookshelf or a windowsill and make someone smile.
How our pieces are made
Each animal is carved by hand from solid wood, then sanded and painted by hand. Some, like our faceted cats, are cut in small flat planes that catch the light. Others are left in natural wood so the grain shows through.
Because every piece is handmade, no two are exactly alike. Expect small, characterful differences in grain, colour and expression.
