About this piece
A calico cat carved from wood in a folk art style, with a sleepy expression and a star motif. It stands about 8.9 cm tall and 5.1 cm wide, a good size for a desk or shelf.
It makes a gentle gift for a calico lover or a quiet addition to a bookshelf. It is hand-carved and hand-painted, a decorative item, not a toy. Hold it by the base when you move it, and display it where it will not be knocked. It makes an easy gift to wrap and post, and the photographs show the colours and carving more clearly than any description can. Dust it gently from time to time, and avoid damp cloths and spray cleaners.
