Engraved Wooden Animal Gifts for Companies and Events

An engraved wooden animal makes a distinctive corporate gift because it is small, decorative and can carry a name, a date, a short phrase or a brand name on its base. Choose an engravable piece, keep the wording short and plan for sampling, which takes about 15 days, before production of about 30 days. Minimums and pricing are agreed privately, based on the design and quantity.

Why choose an engraved wooden animal as a corporate gift?

Most corporate gifts are forgotten within a week. A notebook is filled, a mug is lost in a cupboard and a branded pen is used up. A small hand-carved, hand-painted animal is different, because people keep it on a desk or shelf where they see it every day, and the engraved base ties the gift to the occasion or the sender.

An animal also carries warmth that a logo cannot. A cat for a team that loves cats, an owl for a leaving gift, a dog for a veterinary practice: each has a reason behind it, which is exactly what makes a gift feel chosen. A name or date on the base turns it from a decoration into a keepsake.

Because the pieces are decorative items, not toys, they suit offices, reception desks, client meetings and events. They are small enough to post or hand over, and they do not need instructions.

Which pieces can be engraved?

Nine pieces in the range have a base that can be laser-engraved with a name, a date or a short message. For animals with broad appeal, the Snowy Owl on Engraved Base is a white low-poly owl, the Capybara is a calm, rounded animal described as a trending animal with wide appeal, and the Natural Wood Fox is left in natural, unpainted wood.

For pet-related businesses and animal lovers, the Border Collie on Paw Base, the Dog with Bandana, the Smiling Ginger Cat and the Black Bombay Cat all have engravable bases. The Dog Couple Gift Set is a pair of dogs on a shared base, popular for weddings, anniversaries and Father's Day, and the White Horse is also engravable.

Which occasions suit an engraved animal?

Think of occasions where a person is being thanked, welcomed or marked. Leaving gifts, work anniversaries, new starters, retirements and thank-you gifts for clients all suit a small, personal keepsake. For events, a piece with the event name and date on the base becomes a lasting reminder of the day.

Choose the animal to fit the audience. A calm owl suits a leaving gift for a thoughtful colleague. A dog suits a veterinary practice or a pet-friendly workplace. A fox in natural wood suits a company that prefers a plain, rustic look, and a capybara suits a team with a sense of humour.

Avoid putting too much on the base. The animal does most of the work, and a short engraved line lets the recipient decide what the gift means to them.

What can the engraving say?

A small base carries a name, a date, a short phrase or a brand name. Think of it as a label rather than a paragraph. A recipient's name and a year, an event name and a date or a company name and a single word such as thank you all fit comfortably.

Agree the exact wording before you order, in writing, and have a second person check the spelling and any punctuation. If the same wording goes on many pieces, a single mistake is repeated across the whole order. If each piece carries a different name, keep a list so that nothing is mixed up.

Engraving cannot be corrected once it is done, so this is the stage to be careful. Tell us the wording in your enquiry and we will confirm what is possible for the piece you have chosen.

What if you want something designed for your company?

Some companies want more than an engraved base. A custom design can start from a photograph or reference image, for example a mascot, a breed that matters to your business or an animal tied to an event. We can also change the colouring on an existing style so that it suits your brand.

Our custom page explains the process. You send an enquiry and references, we agree the design and quote, and we make a sample, which takes about 15 days and carries a sample fee. Once you approve it, bulk production takes about 30 days, counted from your approval.

Minimums and pricing are agreed privately, based on the design and quantity, so tell us roughly how many pieces you need when you enquire.

How should you plan timing for an event or a deadline?

Work backwards from the date you need the pieces. A custom order includes sampling, your approval and production, and each stage depends on how quickly the design is agreed. If there is a firm date, such as a conference, a retirement or a seasonal campaign, say so in your first message so the plan is realistic.

Allow time for internal sign-off. If a manager, a client or a committee needs to approve the sample, build that into your schedule, because production only starts once you have approved it. Delivery arrangements are confirmed with you when the order is ready.

For a smaller project that uses an existing engravable piece, ask us what is possible and how long it would take. We do not publish a timescale for that, because it depends on the order.

How do you start an enquiry?

Use the form on the custom page. Tell us who you are, what the gift is for, roughly how many pieces you need, which animal you prefer and the wording you would like engraved. If you have a logo or reference images, you can send them by replying to our first email.

If you are also considering stocking engraved pieces for sale in a shop rather than giving them as gifts, our guide to selling personalised engraved gifts in store covers that side of the business.

Frequently asked questions

Can you engrave a company name or logo on a wooden animal?

Some bases can be laser-engraved with a name, date, short phrase or brand name. Tell us exactly what you would like in your enquiry, and we confirm what is possible for the piece you have chosen. Keep the wording short, because a small base carries only a little text.

How long does a custom corporate order take?

Sampling takes about 15 days and carries a sample fee. Bulk production then takes about 30 days, counted from your sample approval. We confirm delivery arrangements with you when the order is ready, so tell us early if you have a firm event date.

What is the minimum order for corporate gifts?

Minimums and pricing are agreed privately, based on the design and quantity, and are not published. Tell us roughly how many pieces you need and which animal you prefer, and we will explain what is possible before you commit.

Which animals can be engraved?

Nine pieces have engravable bases, including the Snowy Owl, Capybara, Natural Wood Fox, White Horse, Border Collie, Dog with Bandana, Smiling Ginger Cat, Black Bombay Cat and Dog Couple Gift Set. Other pieces are sold without engraving.

Are the gifts suitable for children?

They are decorative items, not toys, and are made for display on a desk, shelf or windowsill. They suit adults and older children who will handle them gently. If you are giving them at a family event, keep them away from very young children.
