What is the minimum order for a custom design?
Minimums and pricing are agreed privately, based on the design and quantity, and we do not publish them on the site. Tell us roughly how many pieces you have in mind when you send your enquiry, and we will explain what is possible for that design before you commit to anything.
Do you charge for samples?
Yes. Sampling carries a sample fee, and we agree the amount with you privately before we start. A sample lets you check the design, colours and engraving before bulk production begins, and production only starts once you have approved it.
How long does a custom order take?
Sampling takes about 15 days, and bulk production takes about 30 days, counted from your sample approval. We agree the details with you when we confirm the design and quote, so you know what to expect before you decide to go ahead.
Can I order a single custom piece as a gift?
Custom orders on this page are for shops, organisations and brands ordering in quantity. If you want a single personalised piece for yourself or as a gift, please order through our Etsy shop, where several engravable pieces are available. This page and its enquiry form are for custom work in quantity, such as an exclusive design or a series for a shop.
Can you make a figure from my photograph?
Yes. Send a photograph or reference image of the animal, along with any details such as colouring or markings, and we discuss a hand-carved, hand-painted design based on it. We confirm the design with you first, then make a sample for you to approve.
Can a design that is not marked as personalised be engraved?
Yes, on batch orders. Single pieces bought at retail are limited to the designs marked as personalised, but when a design is ordered in quantity we can engrave the base of any piece in the collection with a name, a date, a short phrase or your brand name. Tell us which design you have in mind when you enquire, and we will confirm the wording that fits the base.
Can you make animals linked to our museum, attraction or town?
Yes. Museum, attraction and visitor shops often ask for figures linked to their site, a mascot or a story from their collection, either as one exclusive design or as a small series. Send photographs or reference images with your enquiry, and we will talk through what is possible, the quantities involved and the timescale before any work begins.
Do you make engraved corporate gifts?
Yes. Companies and event organisers ask us for figures with an engraved base carrying a brand name, a date or a short message, for client gifts, anniversaries and conference giveaways, and engraving can be added to any design on a batch order.
